On a worldwide basis, we now live longer than ever before. According to the National Institute on Retirement Security, about 66% of people between the ages of 21 and 32 have absolutely nothing saved for retirement. However, “the majority of millennials save less for their future and live paycheck to paycheck” because they might be struggling with student debts. Younger millennials are much more likely to have fewer savings due to their lack of understanding about personal finance. It will affect in their late 20s and early 30s then they are still not able to generate substantial savings.

Understanding personal finances is not easy but having the ability to understand and plan for the future financially can have an incredible impact on people’s lives. I want college students who are about to graduate and enter the workforce to be informed about their personal finance and start with Coink app. This app includes features that encourage the audience to save, in which they are able to set their financial goal and budget easily. Also, they can rise their piggy bank through this app. This project will be successful if college students are informed as to why saving in their 20’s is beneficial and are encouraged to make good financial decisions in order to begin their journey to financial accountability. Having the ability to plan for the future financially can have an incredible impact on college students’ lives and their future.
